Your New Office

NOW HIRING FOR 2026!

At Summit Journeys, we believe the people behind our programs are what make the experience truly transformational. We take great care in our hiring process to build a team of skilled, compassionate, and dedicated professionals who share a deep passion for the outdoors and for working with young people. Whether you’re an experienced outdoor guide or someone looking to grow through our training and mentorship opportunities, we’re excited to connect with individuals who are eager to learn, lead, and inspire.

Our mission is to provide transformational outdoor experiences that strengthen character and support the well-being of all people. As a leading nonprofit outdoor adventure organization, we create spaces where participants are challenged, supported, and empowered to thrive—on the trail and beyond. We believe these experiences help people build confidence, resilience, and the skills needed to reach their own life summits.

Our Hiring Process

At Summit Journeys, we believe that diverse experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives make our community stronger. We are committed to equitable hiring practices that create fair access, reduce barriers, and support candidates throughout the hiring process.

Accessible & Inclusive Applications

We strive to make our application process clear, transparent, and accessible. Job postings clearly outline role expectations, time commitments, and pay whenever possible. We work with diverse communities and value skills, lived experience, and alignment with our mission. We encourage individuals from historically underrepresented communities to apply.

Structured & Fair Review

All applicants are evaluated using consistent criteria directly related to the role. Interviews follow a structured format with standardized questions, and candidates are assessed on relevant skills, experience, and ability to work with diverse communities. When possible, multiple team members participate in the review process to help reduce bias.

Transparent Selection & Supportive Onboarding

Hiring decisions are made collaboratively and communicated clearly. We aim to be transparent about timelines and next steps, and all new team members receive a supportive onboarding process that includes clear expectations, training, and access to resources needed to succeed in their role.
